On the second day of a multi-day visit to the Big Horn Mountains via Sheridan, Wyoming, we took a ride up Crazy Woman Canyon. This windy, dusty dirt road had a surprise at each turn.
By the time we got to this point of the canyon, the sun was nearly overhead as it was a little after 1 pm. I had some trouble getting capturing the shadows and texture of the rock faces. A little work in Lightroom made all the difference in the world.
This wider view of the same formation as in Crazy Woman Canyon, puts the massive cliff face in perspective.
